Well, go on, then.

MIST is the... well, it's the Mewstar Island Summer Tournament, technically. Originally the S stood for "Safari", but it's more like "Sometime", because it happens whenever she can be bothered to get her head out of the clouds, stop playing World of Warcraft (whatever that might be o.o), and get it ready.

Right, but what IS it?

... So that's what it's called, then, but as for what it actually is? It's an event! A competition! An annual contest of luck and skill with something for everybody! There is an art contest, a fiction contest, usually a crossword, a sort of card lottery, a safari-esque game of judgement and chance that I can't explain properly here, and whatever else we dream up for a particular year.

Glad you asked! Everyone who enters is put on the league table, and-

League table? You'd need to have points to put together a league table, though, wouldn't y-

Yes! Yes, there are points. Taking part in one of the things mentioned above will give you the opportunity to earn points (sometimes you'll get a small number of points just for entering), and your goal is, naturally, to earn the most points!

And why would I want to do that?

Because getting the most points makes you a winner, and winners get prizes! Plus, everyone loves big numbers, don't they?

Prizes?

Prizes!

... Well? What are they?

Good question! The prizes are three in number! Firstly, you will get a spiffy trophy image with your name on it. They're lovely and shiny (everybody likes the shiny!). Secondly, you will get your site - or a URL of your choice, within reason - advertised on Mewstar Iisland's homepage until the end of the next year! Thirdly, ETERNAL GLORY AND LIMITLESS FAME! (Terms and conditions apply, glory and fame not guaranteed, batteries not included, please note that this product contains small parts which may present a choking hazard to young children. I'm kidding, of course; it actually does come with batteries.)
