Word of advice, folks: never underestimate Cryssie's ability to procrastinate. Even after NaNoWriMo (which she didn't win this time, but did end the month with a respectable 30k words), she took to playing World of Warcraft again instead. Shameful, isn't it? But now, one shoehorn and a few words of, er, encouragement later, we're ready to roll again.

Firstly and foremostly, I've added everyone who had entered onto the League Table. There are currently five of you lovely people participating in total, which isn't bad, but we've definitely seen more in past years. Give it a go, hey?

Lucky 13 is atrociously late. I'd draw the first few cards now, but we don't appear to have received any entries! D: The closing dates for the contests and the crossword have been extended to the end of this month, and Lucky 13 will start in a week's time, when we will have - hopefully! - some entries for it. C'mon, people, just pick your thirteen cards, send your choices in, and cross your fingers. :D

And I think that just about wraps it up for toda- oh, excuse me, I need to go and forcibly peel Cryssie away from WoW again. Wish me luck, hey?

Hello, ladies and gentlemon! =D MIST 2007 is finally here! What? It's not summer? Of course it is. In Australia. In fact, I don't think it's quite officially summer there yet, so we're early. How d'you like that?

But! On to business. MIST 2007. You know the drill, right, guys? If you don't, take a look at the About link under the MIST section on the menu there. This year, we have the Fiction Contest, Art Contest, Lucky 13 and Crossword. Give that crossword a try, people; it's bigger than last year's. To sign up and start competing, check the Enter page and find yourself an avatar!

Irritatingly, Cryssie is going to be ridiculously busy during the month of November writing a novel (look up "NaNoWriMo" if the reason for this eludes you), so it falls entirely to me to keep MIST in check. Good luck to me, hey?

So, let's get this annual event of luck and chance started! I can't do anything until you people get involved. Except stand here looking pretty, of course. I jest... I can make wisecracks, too!

Heh, yes, this is another revamp. And it's a pretty drastic one. x)

Okay, so what's changed? Well, a lot of the old content is gone (this must be one of the few sites where the amount of content has decreased over the years o.O), because the focus has shifted away from... well, was there really any focus before? In any case, the dull stuff like factual game information is gone. The art- and fiction-related pages remain, as does the oekaki. Some parts have only been temporarily removed and may be re-added later.

But my favourite part is the new webcomic. Yes, you read that right. No, I didn't get the idea from Serebii. Yes, I mean a comic on the web. No, I probably won't be able to keep it up on a regular basis. Yes, I'm done with the yes/no sentences now.

As you might have gathered, the emphasis is now on creativity and character. Far from the subdued and plain look of the old website, the new layout is a bit more interesting to look at (I hope o.o), and whereas before the "mascots" I always had in the back of my head for this site barely got any screen time, they're now going to take a front seat and star in the webcomic. Maybe I'll have a Q&A section, who knows?

If you're wondering if MIST is still going to be held, then yes, it is. I just have to put a few more pages up, probably within the next day or two. Hopefully.
