Fiction

Okay, I'm not a stunningly good author, but I like to write when the mood strikes me. Here are a small number of short stories I've written. As usual, no stealing. It's not polite, now, is it?

Stories

Born To Be Read

A one-shot about a girl called Leah, waiting anxiously in the preparation pits of a Pokeémon League official stadium. Kinda short, and not my best, but I was choosing my words carefully...

Warnings: None. Unlike a lot of my others, this one doesn't feature death in any shape or form. :3

The Chasm Read

A strange, one-shot piece with an apocalyptic feel. Atmospheric and dark, with an interesting twist... Yay for angst. I might note that half the point of the story may be completely lost on you if you haven't seen The Birth of Mewtwo, so look that up first if you haven't already and want to get this story first time 'round.

Warnings: It concerns death, and I suppose it kinda makes allusions to hell. I guess I should mention that, just in case anyone has a strange aversion to reading about such things.

Fallen Scythe Read

Sakreth was once the leader of his Scyther colony, a noble figure of power and honour. But that was then, and this is now. How strangely the mind can warp as times change...

Warnings: Also concerns death, a little violence, and consequently, just a smidgeon of blood.

Mew's Sorrow Read

A very short one-shot about Mew contemplating Mewtwo's creation. More atmospheric than plot-based, really.

Warnings: Death mentioned briefly in passing, I suppose. Nothing major.

I figured this is as good a place as any to mention NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month. Every November, thousands of people around the world throw caution to the wind and attempt to write a 50000-word novel within the month. It sounds crazy, and it is, but that's what makes it so fun. x3

I've attempted it twice, and the second time, I actually made it. There's nothing like writing that fifty-thousandth word and crossing that finish line, so if you're a bit of a writer yourself (or even just wish you were), give NaNoWriMo a go.
