About The Comic
The Mewstar Island comic was started on a whim by a lazy, artistically inept webmistress known as Crystylla in 2007, and the first comic actually posted on 12th September 07. Contrary to popular belief, she is not attempting to set the world record for "Most Infrequently Updated And Unfunny Comic Ever To Disgrace To The Internet."
Mewstar Island
It's set on a small island a few miles off the coast - Mewstar Island. There are sandy beaches, a tropical rainforest, and a large volcano, but no shops (so it's fruit and twice-a-week delivieries from the mainland by Pelipper if you're hungry). There is, mysteriously, an electricity supply and broadband internet connection. Just the bare essentials for survival, you know.
Characters
| Wildfire | |
|---|---|
![]() |
Species: Charizard |
| Gender: Female | |
| Eye Colour: Green | |
| Other: Odd markings | |
| Description: Talkative and excitable, nothing short of a roll of duct tape will keep her grinning jaws shut. She loves pranks and gossip, much to Amazon's irritation, and gets on very well with Mist. She takes very little seriously, and is much likely to sit back with a box of popcorn and grin at a situation than worry about it. | |
| Amazon | |
|---|---|
![]() |
Species: Tropius |
| Gender: Male | |
| Eye Colour: Blue | |
| Other: One ragged wing | |
| Description: Some might call him a grouch or a stick in the mud, but Amazon insists that he is just being sensible and practical - in contrast to Wildfire, who wouldn't know "sensible" if she tripped over it. Tending to be quiet until irritated (usually by Wildfire), he keeps mostly to himself. | |
| Mist | |
|---|---|
![]() |
Species: Golduck |
| Gender: Female | |
| Eye Colour: Black | |
| Other: Never seen without a microphone | |
| Description: Presumably due to her aspirations of one day becoming a famous and universally-loved TV presenter, Mist carries a portable microphone with her everywhere she goes, using it at every opportunity she gets. If anyone can match Wildfire for chattiness, it's Mist. This Golduck could talk herself out of a locked room. | |
